The contemporary world has witnessed remarkable advances in medicine and biology. These developments have given rise to serious crises that threaten human existence, humanity’s future, dignity, and identity. This situation has necessitated the emergence of a new field intended to reconcile scientific progress with ethical principles: bioethics, encompassing the ethics of medicine and biology. Bioethics seeks to regulate the relationship between human values and science and to establish dialogue between medical and biological practice and ethical thought. It aims to foster cooperation between medicine, biology, and human values while safeguarding human dignity.
